I couldn't help but notice that this group seems to think that art is an atrocity. Believe it or not, those Eastern Countries you wish to catch up with so badly are actually trying to catch up with us on many accounts including education. It is absolutely ludicrous to state that an education with art involvement is destroying America. I am going to Med School in order to become a Neurological Researcher and I would have a nigh on impossible time getting through my day without singing, acting, and the like. Music and arts are a staple of society. There is no stopping it. Look around you, you will find countless examples of the arts where you wouldn't even think to look: Architecture, language (ever think why the courses are referred to as Language ARTS?)The curves of your computer, the design of your phone, your kitchen supplies, the money that you think fuels all life, the things that you use every day. Art is found in every thing. You used a quote in one of your pages. A quote which, I might add, you grossly misinterpreted. "Art does not solve problems, but makes us aware of their existence." Magdalena Abakanowicz. Magdalena did not mean that art is the source of all problems, but simply brings to light the atrocities of man. I.E. Ignorance. Selfishness. Disregard Of The Needs Of The Greater Populous. And many others. All things that this group is guilty of in one way or another. Art is a window to other worlds. A window through which other viewpoints can be ascertained. Other viewpoints that help even in the fields of science. You wish to abolish the arts in schools, to create a blank slate focused entirely upon the destruction and mechanization of the American life. America, a country built entirely upon culture, music, and a flow of ideas. To that end I say, Good luck.

You're going to fucking need it.
